Florida Street Discovery Center students recently came to school with their twist on the 100th Day of School.
Schools across the Banning Unified School District marked the important milestone last month by reflecting on 100 days of learning, growth, and progress, while reinforcing the district’s commitment to student engagement and academic development.
Classrooms and campuses came alive with creativity as students dressed up as “100-year-olds,” participated in themed lessons, and engaged in hands-on activities centered around the number 100. From counting exercises and writing projects to collaborative games and art activities, the celebrations highlighted both academic achievement and school spirit.
“The 100th Day of School is a meaningful opportunity to pause and recognize how much our students have accomplished in just 100 days,” said Dr. Tonia Causey-Bush, assistant superintendent of Educational Services. “These celebrations reflect the hard work of our students, the dedication of our educators, and the supportive learning environments we continue to build across our schools.”
