ACSA Senior Director of Policy and Governmental Relations Iván Carrillo recently represented ACSA as part of an exclusive California delegation to Jalisco, Mexico, led by Assemblymember David Alvarez.
The delegation included 13 California legislators and 10 prominent industry leaders, providing a unique platform to elevate ACSA’s voice alongside top state decisionmakers.
During the trip, the delegation met directly with the governor of Jalisco, legislative leadership, and the Mayor of Guadalajara to discuss shared priorities, including strategies to streamline pathways for Mexican teachers to serve in California schools.
“It was an honor to represent ACSA and witness firsthand the value of cross-border dialogue,” Carrillo said. “Opportunities like this help lay the groundwork for future collaboration on issues that impact our schools, students, and educators.”
