ACSA’s Member Services Department hosted its annual Membership Kickoff Training July 23-24, gathering regional recruiters, ambassadors, committee representatives, and staff for 1.5 days of professional development and strategic planning at the ACSA Sacramento office. The event opened with a welcome dinner at Cantina Alley, offering a chance for informal connection before a full day of content-rich sessions focused on elevating member services for the 2025–26 year.
ACSA Deputy Executive Director Margarita Cuizon-Armelino opened the training with a “State of ACSA” update, followed by presentations on membership goals, new promotions, partnerships, and member benefits. Sessions also covered credentialing, online learning, conferences, DEI initiatives, and the use of ACSA’s new Power BI dashboard to inform outreach.
“This kickoff reinforces that we’re not just building membership, we’re building community,” said Cuizon-Armelino. “Every person in that room plays a role in helping education leaders feel seen, supported, and connected.”
Participants engaged in job-alike breakout groups to exchange ideas and strategies specific to their roles. ACSA leaders emphasized their commitment to delivering value, elevating member experience, and continuing to grow a strong, inclusive ACSA community.
The Member Services team now moves forward with unified goals and a shared sense of purpose, ready to support California’s school leaders through meaningful connection and service.
