ACSA members and statewide educational leaders were present at the 2026 CAAASA Professional Development Summit.
The annual conference of the California Association of African American Superintendents and Administrators was held March 18–20 in Anaheim and explored the theme, “Equity and Education Since Brown v. Board – Where Do We Go From Here?”
Guest speakers included Colin Kaepernick, the legendary NFL quarterback, philanthropist and founder of Lumi Story AI, and Catherine E. Lhamon, the former assistant secretary for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Education and current executive director, Edley Center on Law & Democracy at UC Berkeley School of Law.
