If you’ve been meaning to carve out time for your own growth, make this the year you invest in yourself and your leadership by attending the Women in School Leadership Forum.
ACSA’s premier professional development and networking experience for women in school leadership heads to Indian Wells this year to explore the theme “Unstoppable: Women Leading the Way.”
Conference Planning Committee Chair Dr. Sandra Quintanilla said the theme truly captures the strength, determination, and impact of women in leadership.
“The word ‘unstoppable’ resonated deeply with our planning committee. It reflects how women leaders are achievers and go-getters,” she said. “Being ‘unstoppable’ means not giving up. It means pushing forward, rising above obstacles, and staying committed until goals are met. This theme celebrates the resilience, drive, and powerful influence of women who are leading the way and inspiring others to do the same.”
This conference offers an opportunity for women leaders to dedicate time for themselves and focus on practical strategies that will enhance their leadership.
“As we know, being a leader takes a lot of our time and prioritizing and investing time in ourselves is rare due to the demands of everyday leadership,” said Quintanilla, principal of Canoga Park Elementary in the Los Angeles Unified School District. “Attending the WIL Conference is a powerful way for women leaders to invest in themselves and their career goals. It provides a dedicated space to pause, reflect, and refocus.”
In addition to workshops and reflection, leaders will have an unparalleled opportunity to network with women across California who share similar experiences and aspirations. Quintanilla said the forum has helped her build meaningful connections and expand her network statewide.
“Learning directly from accomplished women has been a part of shaping my growth and confidence as a leader,” she said. “This event is more than a conference — it’s a platform for connection, inspiration and growth.”
Highlights also include celebrating the Exemplary Woman in Education Award recipient, a color-themed reception designed for connection, and mock interviews where women can get real-time feedback on their interviewing skills.
Quintanilla invites all women leaders to come and experience the Women in School Leadership Forum for themselves.
“By the end of the event, you leave feeling empowered, confident, and ready to take on any challenge,” she said. “It instills a deep belief that you are unstoppable and capable of achieving anything you set your heart on.”
Call for presenters Leaders with strategies, tools, and stories to share are encouraged to submit proposals to present at the forum.
“We are seeking presenters who are willing to share their expertise through engaging workshops in which they highlight how they lead, how they build strong communities, and how they have achieved their goals,” Quintanilla said.
Selected presenters can also register for the conference at a discounted rate. The deadline to submit is 12 p.m. May 25. Visit bit.ly/2026ACSA_Women and click on “Call for Proposals” for more details.
