Lilian Gesell is a young woman known for her selflessness and compassion. When her mother was diagnosed with stage four metastatic breast cancer during Lilian’s ninth-grade year, she became her mother’s primary caregiver. Lilian remained strong throughout the difficult time, balancing school and her caregiving role. Her mother passed away on March 5, leaving a deep void in Lilian’s life. Despite the loss of her mother, Lilian continued to dedicate herself to helping others, a value her mother instilled in her.
