Joshua Jones has defied expectations his entire life. Born in China, he lived in an orphanage with 300 other children from the ages of 6 to 11. When Charlie and Toni Jones adopted Joshua on Dec. 8, 2014, they brought him home to the United States. He overcame the language barrier and underwent surgeries on his legs so he could use a walker. Joshua’s greatest passion is basketball and he’s an active member of his wheelchair basketball team. He says the sport has given him a newfound sense of confidence. Supported by his loving Kerman community, Joshua’s resilience and determination continue to fuel his remarkable journey.
