For a long time, Hector Muñoz could not picture life beyond high school. The future felt uncertain, something that happened to other people. Family separation and instability made it difficult to see what came next. Then he arrived at Green Valley High School, where a credit recovery program and a community of adults helped him imagine a way forward. What followed was not a single breakthrough but a series of small decisions, each one moving him toward his goals. He found confidence in the classroom, discovered a talent for writing and began planning for a future he once thought impossible. Hector graduated from Green Valley High School and will attend Riverside City College, where he plans to major in psychology and become a psychologist.
