Mylee Napiontek learned early that a carefree childhood isn’t guaranteed. She arrived at high school already practiced in navigating uncertainty, learning how to advocate for herself when it mattered most. When her situation at home became unsafe, she spoke up and set in motion a path toward something better. Along the way, she found people who listened, supported her, and showed her what stability could look like. In the classroom, she stayed focused and challenging herself, building a future on her own terms. Mylee graduated from Oakdale High School in May and will attend Stanislaus State this fall, with plans to return home one day as a teacher.
