California First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom shared resources for helping schools heal the mental health crisis during ACSA’s Your Mind First broadcast on Aug. 9.

“There’s strength in vulnerability,” said Siebel Newsom, who shared her own challenges with working and parenting during the pandemic. “We’re all caregivers. You guys, by virtue of what you do working with our most vulnerable population – our children – you’re caregivers. And we really have to uplift care in our society.”

Siebel Newsom’s recommendations included taking advantage of the California Healthy Kids Thriving Minds Project, a series of free, evidence-based video and print resources to teach kids critical mental health and coping skills.

Join the remaining two episodes of Your Mind First at 1 p.m. Aug. 23 and 30. You can also view all episodes and find other resources at content.acsa.org/your-mind-first/.
