Westhoff Elementary students delivered holiday cheer during their winter performance on Dec. 9, which was held for the first time in three years due to the pandemic.
Transitional kindergarten through fifth grade students took the stage to perform special holiday songs complete with costumes and choreography. Adorable transitional kindergarteners opened the show with “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.” Kindergarteners wearing leis and sunglasses sang “Merry Hula” followed by the first graders’ rendition of “Run, Run Rudolph.”
Second graders performed the delightful “Frosty the Snowman” and third graders rocked out to “Reindeer Jive.” Talented fourth and fifth grade performed “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” and “Snow Snow Snow” featuring dance, gymnastic, scooters and skateboard solos.
At the conclusion, student council members presented a $3,000 check from proceeds of holiday gram sales and donations to Bithiah’s Family Services, a nonprofit that provides resources and support for foster and adoptive families and those working with vulnerable children.
