Fuentes to lead Member Services Committee

ACSA is pleased to announce Karima Fuentes from Region 16 has been elected as chair of ACSA’s Member Services Committee.
Fuentes brings deep experience, a collaborative spirit and a fierce passion for serving education leaders and ACSA members. She is a courageous leader who uses her voice to share the value of membership.
“I’m energized by the opportunity to lock arms with Karima as we launch creative initiatives that will grow, sustain and celebrate ACSA membership,” said ACSA Deputy Executive Director Margarita Cuizon-Armelino.
Fuentes is a seasoned educational leader entering her 27th year of service in Los Angeles USD. Currently, Fuentes is a school support administrator serving in the capacity of lead teacher induction specialist for the Teacher Growth and Induction Program. In this role, she leads efforts to support early career educators through standards-based coaching, reflective mentorship, and transformative professional development. She also plays a vital role in designing and managing data systems to ensure program compliance and continuous improvement.
Fuentes has served on the ACSA Member Services Committee for the last three years. This involvement has shaped her role as vice president of Member Services for Region 16, where she works with the region committee, executive board, and representative councils to elevate the ACSA membership experience.
As the new chair of the Membership Services Committee, Fuentes hopes to cultivate a deeply connected, inclusive, and inspired membership community. Her vision is to amplify member voices, foster meaningful engagement across all regions, and ensure every administrator feels seen, supported and empowered in their leadership journey.
