Get to know candidates at virtual town halls
April 12, 2021
ACSA members are invited to get to know the candidates for ACSA Vice President and ACSA Vice President for Legislative Action during two online town hall events this month.
The virtual events will take place on April 19 for the office of ACSA Vice President and April 21 for the office of ACSA Vice President for Legislative Action. Both events will begin at 10 a.m. and all members will be provided with log-in information on April 16.
The candidates for ACSA Vice President are:
  • Parvin Ahmadi, Superintendent, Castro Valley Unified School District, Region 6.
  • Grant Bennett, Superintendent, Perris Union High School District, Region 19.
  • Mary McNeil, Superintendent, Needles Unified School District, Region 12.
The candidates for ACSA Vice President for Legislative Action are:
  • Jonathon Brunson, Assistant Superintendent, Milpitas Unified School District, Region 8.
  • Daniel Hernandez, Principal, Sacramento City Unified School District, Region 3.
  • Barbara Martinez, Principal/Director, Pacific Grove Unified School District, Region 10.
  • Gina Potter, Superintendent, San Ysidro School District, Region 18.
All ACSA members are encouraged to participate in the virtual town halls. Members can submit questions during the event or before the forums by e-mailing them to candidates@acsanetwork.org.
A recorded version of these virtual events will be available on the ACSA Resource Hub later in the week. Members will be able to access the recorded version by going to content.acsa.org and clicking the Candidate Town Hall.
Delegates will cast their votes for these two offices during the May Leadership Assembly, which will be held virtually this year on May 12-14. The vote will take place Thursday, May 13.
