Dairy Council of California recently awarded three community grants totaling $15,000 through its Let’s Eat Healthy initiative.
The grants will advance equitable access to science-based nutrition education, enhance food and agricultural literacy, and support nutrition security in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.
Vista Del Mar Union School District, San Miguel Joint Union School District and Orcutt Union School District each received a $5,000 grant for the 2023-24 school year.
The Let’s Eat Healthy initiative brings together community leaders and stakeholders with expertise in education, school food service, public health, health care and agriculture, inviting these change-makers to elevate the health of children and families through the pursuit of lifelong healthy eating habits.
