ACSA members have received the 2024-25 ACSA Academy catalog in the mail and the program will officially launch on June 1. This year will feature 27 cohorts in nine leadership specializations:

Opening Academy weekends will convene beginning early September through early October. ACSA’s Academy Program provides a solid foundation of training in the application of leadership and management fundamentals. These academies help you build the administrative and leadership skills needed in your current job, while preparing you to take advantage of career advancement opportunities.

Participation in ACSA’s Academy Program distinguishes participants as educational leaders who intentionally seek to grow in their professional knowledge, skills and connections, and to engage in professional learning and networking with fellow educational leaders locally, regionally and statewide. ACSA plans for participants to experience the maximum benefit in all meeting formats. Participants will be actively engaged and committed to participation through sharing and applying their learning and expanding their professional networks. They will earn their Academy Certificate of Completion at the end of the academy year.

In-person cohorts: By popular demand, three cohorts of the CEL Academy will be offered in northern, central and southern California, and will meet exclusively in an in-person format for seven hours on each of five Saturdays.

Hybrid cohorts: Eight cohorts from among the C&I Leaders, Personnel Administrators, Special Education, and Superintendents academies will meet in a hybrid format with all Friday evenings online and all Saturdays in-person.

Virtual cohorts: Sixteen cohorts from among eight leadership specializations will meet in a virtual format on Friday evenings and all-day on Saturdays. Academy directors and presenters continue to refine and elevate online learning, engagement and networking. Participant feedback confirms high satisfaction with the online format, appreciation for meeting and learning with colleagues from around the state, and the additional flexibility of not having to travel.

ACSA offers two premier executive professional learning programs for superintendents: the Superintendents Academy (designed for aspiring and first-year superintendents) and the New Superintendents Seminar Series (designed for first- and second-year superintendents).
