1. Clear credential enrollment deadline  The deadline to enroll in the winter cohort for ACSA’s Clear Administrative Credential Program is Feb. 15. New administrators must enroll in a Clear Administrative Credential Program to clear their credential. ACSA has served 985 new administrators who receive individualized, one-on-one, job embedded coaching over the course of the two-year program. ECC Keynote spotlight: Sylvia Mendez Sylvia Mendez, who was the child at the center of the landmark 1947 case that paved the way for the national ban on segregated schools, will give a keynote during the Every Child Counts Symposium. Hear the inspiring story of how her parents and neighbors fought against segregated education for children of Mexican descent in southern California. Attendance Planning one-day workshops Those working on reducing absenteeism in their schools will not want to miss ACSA’s upcoming workshops on “Building a Successful Attendance Plan: A Practitioner’s Approach.” Learn day-to-day strategies to help school personnel build a successful attendance improvement plan. 4. Equity keynote spotlight: Dr. Lisa Williams Dr. Lisa Williams, Executive Director of Equity and Cultural Proficiency for the Baltimore County Public School System, will give a keynote address during the Excellence Through Equity Conference. Her career in public education spans nearly 20 years. Sisterhood Symposium call for presenters  Add “conference presenter” to your resume by submitting a proposal for the second annual Sisterhood Leadership Symposium, held May 16, 2020 in Alhambra. With the theme “Leading Phenomenally: A Pathway to Leadership,” this event promises to be a premier networking and leadership experience.
