1. Equity Institute: Save the date

2. Coast2Coast scheduled for April 8-10
Join ACSA and California School Boards Association for the third annual Coast2Coast Federal Advocacy Trip to Washington, D.C. to shine a light on the issues affecting students. California governance team members — school and county board members and superintendents — are urged to attend this event.

3. Baila Conmigo: Mentoring Latinas as School Leaders
This four-part virtual workshop will provide participants strategies for mentoring, coaching and advancing Latina leadership. Participants will be able to implement, apply, evaluate and create effective and practical mentoring frameworks for promoting and nurturing Latina leaders and cultivate professional dispositional norms for culturally responsive leadership.
When: 3:30-5:30 p.m. March 18, and April 1, 15 and 29

4. Master Schedule training offered in February/March
This one-day in-person workshop will provide the necessary basics for building a master schedule, including identification of essential “non-negotiable” components and a step-by-step, practical method for ensuring course selection equity.

5. Deeper Dive into Cultural Proficiency for ELL
This series meets for four online sessions with the final in-person session taking place over two dates at the Museum of Tolerance. Participants will review data, identify barriers within their schools/districts and determine an action plan for systems that support English language learners.
When: 3:30-5:30 p.m. Feb. 20, Feb. 27, March 5 (online); and March 11-12 (in-person)
