1. Registration opening soon for summer institute
ACSA’s Summer Leadership Institute provides an opportunity for principals and aspiring principals to meet in a stimulating and supportive setting to examine crucial school reform topics applicable to their work. This ACSA tradition is designed to provoke and ultimately foster a life commitment to the calling of teaching and learning. 2. Baila Conmigo: Mentoring Latinas as School Leaders
This four-part virtual workshop will highlight chapters from the book, “Baila Conmigo: Mentoring Latinas as School Leaders.” The sessions will provide participants strategies for mentoring, coaching and advancing Latina Leadership.

3. The Five Ws of PRAs
Learn to navigate the CA Public Records Act from an experienced education law attorney. Learn what the PRA is, which records are (and are not) public, who can make a request, when you need to comply and where to look for records. Get helpful tips to train and remind staff on best practices to ensure that public records don’t contain information that shouldn’t be disclosed.

5. Information sessions for preliminary credentialing
Know someone who’s ready to lead? Let them know ACSA is now accepting applications for the Fall 2024 cohort of Leadership Institute, which is offered in partnership with Sacramento County Office of Education. Aspiring leaders who want more information on ACSA’s Preliminary Administrative Services Credential program can attend an online information session to learn about this program.
