1. Keynotes announced for Lead With Pride
ACSA is pleased to announce Jeopardy Champion Amy Schneider and Dr. Jon Paul Higgins as keynotes for its first ever Lead With Pride Summit. Schneider is an American software engineer and recent Jeopardy! Champion who became the most successful woman ever to compete on the show. She is also the first openly transgender contestant to qualify for the Tournament of Champions. Dr. Higgins is a writer, speaker and social justice educator who focuses on issues related to gender, race and media. They aspire to be an example to those who seek to change the way we discuss the Black, queer experience.

2. Title IX Compliance Training online workshop
ACSA has partnered with F3 Law for a new training that will address required components under the new Title IX rules. All Title IX team members are encouraged to attend. Live online sessions will be presented by Jacqueline Litra, a partner with F3 Law and a well-regarded trainer in Title IX.
When: April 19, 26 and May 3

3. Leadership Institute registration now open
Do you know an aspiring school lead-er? Make sure they know about Lead-ership Institute, ACSA’s Preliminary Administrative Services Credential program offered with the Sacramento County Office of Education. Deadline to apply is April 29, 2022.
When: Fall 2022 cohort begins in August 2022

4. SELPA Alternative Dispute Resolution Workshop
In this two-part virtual workshop, learn a conceptual framework for approaching and resolving conflict in special education. Join Justine Melendez and Sara Castille with Contra Costa SELPA for two engaging sessions to collaborate with peers on Alternative Dispute Resolution strategies.
