1. Registration now open for clear credential program
Registration for the fall cohort of ACSA’s Clear Administrative Credential Program is now open. This induction program is grounded in the California Professional Standards for Education Leaders and provides individualized, one-on-one, job-embedded coaching over the course of the two-year program. Candidates enroll within one year of starting an initial administrative position.

2. Registration open for Summer Leadership Institute
Join ACSA for four days of intensive leadership training designed for experienced, new and aspiring principals. Hear from nationally-recognized speakers and share in facilitated small groups about how you can apply the knowledge in your schools and communities. Cost includes shared accommodations and all meals and activities.
When: June 20-24, 2022

3. Help build the bench
Help the next generation of school leaders begin their journey at Leadership Institute, ACSA’s Preliminary Administrative Services Credential program offered with the Sacramento County Office of Education. Over the course of this 10-month program, candidates look at essential tasks that successful leaders employ with a focus on strategies that achieve results. Courses go in-depth on critical leadership behaviors and systems and how they must interact to create intentional change. Deadline to apply is April 29, 2022.
When: Fall 2022 cohort begins in August 2022
Where: Hybrid (in-person sessions involve travel to Southern California)

4. Academies registration coming June 1
ACSA provides a full range of academies, in 10 leadership specializations, to meet your needs as a school administrator, confidential employee or classified manager. Academies provide a solid foundation of training in the application of leadership and management fundamentals for those who are new or aspiring to advanced leadership positions. Watch for complete 2022-23 Academy Program information by June 1.
5. FAFSA requirement
In 2021, California passed AB 469, which requires LEAs to ensure that all high school seniors complete and submit a FAFSA or California Dream Act Application. CaliforniaColleges.edu offers free tools through which LEAs can implement AB 469 requirements and report compliance. Find a checklist to help get started at ACSA’s Resource Hub.
