1. September Academies
ACSA Academies will be held in a virtual/online format in 2021-22. That means participants from anywhere in the state will continue to have the option to register for any online cohort statewide. Cohorts can fill up quickly, so register for these September Academies soon: C & I Leaders, Equity, Personnel, Principals, School Business (full), Special Education, Pupil Services, English Learners.

2. Early bird rate on NSSS expires Aug. 31
ACSA’s New Superintendents Seminar Series is the only professional development series that is specifically designed for the first- and second-year superintendent. NSSS allows new superintendents to tackle current issues in a confidential and supportive setting with the guidance of experienced superintendents. Topics covered include negotiations, governance and personnel issues.
When: Five sessions throughout the year (first session Sept. 10-11)

3. Summit keynote spotlight: Eric Sheninger

4. Integrating Leadership & Instructional Coaching
In this live course, join Dr. Cindy Petersen, Dr. Christine McCormick and Dr. Heather Gold as they discuss how leaders can strategically partner with instructional coaches to develop a comprehensive and coherent coaching program that generates buy-in and focuses on student-centered results. Presenters will also guide participants in a self-assessment.

5. Engaging High School Leaders with the CIF
Executive Director for the California Interscholastic Federation Ron Nocetti will lead a one-hour presentation that’s free for ACSA members on how school leaders can use the CIF and its various programs to best serve the 800,000-plus students currently involved in athletics.
