1. Save the Date for CEL

ACSA’s Classified Educational Leaders Institute is back and in person. This three-day institute is a perfect opportunity for leaders in business/fiscal services, human resources/personnel, maintenance/operations, custodial, technology, facilities and student services/instructional, including confidential and administrative assistants. Sign up online to be notified when registration opens.

2. Leadership & Instructional Coaching webinar

In this live course, join Dr. Cindy Petersen, Dr. Christine McCormick and Dr. Heather Gold as they discuss how leaders can strategically partner with instructional coaches to develop a comprehensive and coherent coaching program that generates buy-in and focuses on student-centered results. Presenters will also guide participants in a self-assessment.

When: 3:30-5 p.m. Sept. 28

3. HR workshop is back!

ACSA’s popular HR workshop has been revamped with a virtual format and brand new title. “HR Bootcamp: Surviving the First Year” is designed for Administrators, Classified Managers and other support staff who are new to Human Resources or interested in learning about the role and function of the Human Resources Department. Participants will benefit from this comprehensive overview of the myriad of tasks and responsibilities of the Human Resources Office. The presentation will include a detailed calendar of events, procedures related to Human Resources and a Human Resources Self-Assessment Instrument.

When: Oct. 13, 20, 27

4. Every Child Counts keynotes announced

Did you see who’s coming to ACSA’s 2022 Every Child Counts Symposium? Justin Skeesuck and Patrick Gray, Dr. Nadine Burke Harris and Jessica Chandler will give keynote addresses during the conference.

When: Jan. 12-14, 2022

Where: Palm Desert

5. October Academies

The last three ACSA Academies will begin meeting virtually in October: Personnel Administrators (Ontario - FULL) Personnel Administrators (Stockton) and Principals (Sacramento). In addition, there is a pilot blended/hybrid Personnel Administrators Academy in San Jose that will meet in person and online starting Oct. 8-9.
