Magazine themes chosen
Members invited to submit articles for 2024-25 issues
April 22, 2024
How can principals be the best instructional leaders? Is artificial intelligence going to have a net positive or net negative impact on education? What best practices will keep the peace at the negotiations table? Where can I find resources for implementing the ethnic studies course requirement? How can school leaders ensure that every student is prepared for a happy and successful future?
These big questions and more will be tackled in Leadership magazine next year.
Leadership is ACSA’s magazine that is published five times annually and distributed to all ACSA members. Articles are authored by school leaders and education experts who share the latest research and practical information on what’s working in schools.
Each spring, Leadership selects themes based on critical topics leaders will need to know about in the coming year, said Leadership Editor Michelle Carl.
“I look forward to receiving submissions that will provide vital information to school leaders,” she said.
ACSA received a total of 130 submissions for all five Leadership issues published in 2023-24. Although there is only room to publish six to eight articles in each issue, many of the top submissions this year found another home in EdCal and on ACSA’s Resource Hub.
ACSA members and thought-leaders in education are encouraged to begin submitting written work on these themes starting now. Suggested subtopics are included, however authors can choose any angle that relates to the issue theme. Deadlines for each issue are also listed below.
“Leadership magazine is one of the many ways ACSA fulfills its mission to develop, empower and inspire equity-minded educational leaders,” Carl said. “I encourage all members to review these themes and consider sharing their responses to some of the biggest questions facing education leaders today.”
