ACSA is launching a new service that will provide personalized coaching support to help members solve their biggest educational leadership challenges.
With ACSA’s Precision Coaching, members will have free access to an experienced leadership coach who can help them grow in their capacity to lead.
This pilot program will be available to 50 members in 2024-25. Members will be selected based on need and will receive up to 25 hours of coaching support available throughout the school year. ACSA membership is required to be considered for this service.
“We’ve heard from members that the skills and competencies required of school administrators, particularly site administrators, are growing more complex and difficult every day,” said ACSA Deputy Executive Director Margarita Cuizon-Armelino. “ACSA recognizes the need to provide customized support to its members that enables them to grow in their leadership capacity.”
Precision Coaching will be open to all administrators, however, there will be a special focus on supporting school principals.
Members who may be interested in this benefit include assistant principals who were just promoted to principal and need guidance in establishing school culture; leaders looking to make significant reforms to their school or district to improve student outcomes; leaders with difficult personnel issues or situations; and leaders who want an outside perspective on navigating sensitive issues.

“Research is showing that job-embedded coaching is an effective and preferred way for school site leaders to grow in their leadership capacity.”
Tamerin Tooker, ACSA Credential and Coaching Services Director
This program takes advantage of the highly trained coaching network ACSA has developed for its Clear Administrative Coaching Program. ACSA Credential and Coaching Services Director Tamerin Tooker will be overseeing the Precision Coaching service.
“Research is showing that job-embedded coaching is an effective and preferred way for school site leaders to grow in their leadership capacity,” Tooker said. “Our coaches are some of the most accomplished leaders in education and they’re ready to help our members reach their full leadership potential.”
ACSA-certified coaches receive ongoing training in the art of evocative coaching and are skilled professionals in guiding leaders to solve challenges. Coaches will be available in-person and virtually, depending on the member’s location and specific need.
This new member benefit aligns with ACSA’s goal to provide accessible, relevant opportunities for professional learning and leadership development through which members can acquire, apply, and demonstrate new knowledge, as well as expand career pathways.
“We are excited to be launching this service as a new way to support our members,” Cuizon-Armelino said. “We will be evaluating the program during this pilot year and hope to grow and expand it to even more members in the future.”
