Networking event discusses Black women in leadership
ACSA is hosting an informative networking event for Black women education leaders and allies from 4-5:30 p.m. Oct. 19. “Black Women in Leadership: Navigating a slippery slope to the top” will discuss what research says about the right way and the fastest way Black women can get to the top. Grants support classified staff to become teachers
The sum of $68,942,400 remains to expand the Classified School Employee Teacher Credentialing Program. Eligible applicants are Local Education Agencies interested in securing grant funding to recruit and support classified staff who already hold an associate or higher degree to complete a bachelor’s degree and earn a California teaching credential. The Request for Application for this grant opportunity is now available, and proposals must be received by 5 p.m. Dec. 9, 2022. Grants provide opportunity to implement MTSS
The CDE, in partnership with the Orange County Department of Education and the Butte County Office of Education, has announced the Phase 3 CA MTSS request for applications is open. This grant will provide funding to awardees and an opportunity for school sites, LEAs, and county offices of education to build capacity toward full implementation of CA MTSS to improve outcomes for all learners.
