Folsom Cordova Unified School District Superintendent Sarah Koligian, center, takes part in the ceremonial groundbreaking of Mangini Ranch Elementary School during a celebration on Feb. 12 attended by more than 100 residents, future students and community leaders. Mangini Ranch Elementary is scheduled to open for the 2021-22 school year and will feature an innovative, two-story single building design with state-of-the-art collaborative spaces for students in grades K-5. It will be the first of five new elementary schools, one middle school and one high school planned for a new housing development in the city of Folsom.
