Region 13 Co-Lead Ambassadors Steven Bailey and Michael Tapia visited Ventura USD and E.P. Foster Principal Vanessa Contreras with “Welcome Back to School” treats for her and her staff. Goodies included homemade dip and chips, cookies, mini muffins, and assorted fruit. Tapia is a former principal at E.P. Foster School (2006-2011) and enjoyed the visit to his previous work site. Tapia and Bailey are both retired administrators from Ventura USD.

Region 7 recently hosted its largest General Membership Assembly to date at the Chicken Ranch Casino & Resort.

The evening brought together administrators and educational leaders from across the region for networking, professional learning, and important updates from state ACSA, the region, and local charters.Organizers were honored to welcome ACSA President Dr. Daryl Camp as guest speaker.

Camp, who previously served as Region 7 president and now leads the San Lorenzo Unified School District as superintendent, shared a powerful message focused on leadership, the value of active involvement in ACSA, and the importance of self-care in the work we do each day.

In a fun tribute, members greeted Camp wearing bow ties — his signature accessory — which added a touch of celebration and camaraderie to the evening.
