R6: Administrators of the Year announced online
ACSA Region 6 unveiled its annual Administrator of the Year award nominees and winners on Feb. 4. The results in 21 categories were announced virtually on the Region 6 Facebook page by ACSA Region 6 President Mark Neal and Vice President, Programs Pam Hughes. The winners are education leaders in Alameda and Contra Costa counties who have helped lead public schools during the many phases of the COVID-19 pandemic. Nominees and winners will be celebrated at the ACSA Region 6 Administrator of the Year Awards Dinner at 5 p.m. April 28, 2022.
Region 6 is proud to announce the following winners for the 2022 Administrator of the Year Awards:

Region winners who are ACSA members will be finalists in their category for state ACSA Administrators of the Year. Winners will be announced at the end of March and recognized at the annual Leadership Summit in November in San Diego.

R15: Retired charter hosts former administrator/poet
Region 15’s Retired ACSA Members (RACSAM)’s February lunch meeting featured Thelma Reyna, Ph.D. Reyna is a retired administrator who talked about her post-retirement career as an award-winning poet, writer and founder of Golden Foothill Press.
Attendees were treated to Reyna’s reading of a selection of her poems and copies of her books.
