Virtual Mid-state Conference coming March 5-6
The 6th annual ACSA Mid-State Conference is scheduled for March 5-6, 2021. This year, the conference will be held virtually. The theme will be “From A Distance: Meeting Students Where They Are.” The conference will feature exciting keynote speakers, relevant breakout sessions, a legislative session and dozens of prizes. On Friday, March 5, the featured speaker will be Roni Habib, who will speak on self-care for educators. Habib is an expert in helping leaders, educators and parents become happier, more resilient, more connected to their purpose, and more playful. The founder of EQ Schools, he leads workshops and speaks nationally and abroad.
On Saturday, the featured speak-er will be Pam Gildersleeve-Hernandez, who will address technology in education. Gildersleeve-Hernandez is the executive director at CUE and is devoted to empowering educators, enhancing pedagogical practice and accelerating learning through the use of technology.
Breakout session topics will include student social-emotional learning, digital transformation, goal-set-ting, effective distance learning, restorative practices and meeting the needs of autistic students. The conference will run 6-8 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Saturday. Register for $49 at acsamidstateconference.eventbrite.com.
