R7: Administrators of the year announced
ACSA Region 7 will honor its Administrators of the Year April 30 at The River Mill in French Camp. The keynote speaker at this event will be Mike Robbins, author of five books including his latest, “We’re All in This Together: Creating a Team Culture of High Performance, Trust, and Belonging.”
The 2021 Region 7 Administrator of the Year honorees include:
Superintendent — Sara Noguchi, Modesto City Schools Secondary Principal — Angela Freeman, Turlock USD Middle Grades Principal — Isaias Rumayor, Jr., Empire Union SD Elementary Principal — Ernesto Calderon, Modesto City Schools Central Office Administrator — Amy Peterman, Ceres USD Secondary Co-Administrator — Joni Hellstrom, Lammersville Joint USD Elementary Co-Administrator — Jeffrey Persons, Turlock USD Classified Leader — Aaron Castro, Sr., Modesto City Schools Confidential Employee — Chrissy Mastras, Modesto City Schools Personnel/Human Resources Administrator — Mike Henderson, Modesto City Schools Adult Education Administrator — Jared Hungerford, Calaveras COE Special Education Administrator — Saundra Resendiz-Day, Stanislaus COE Business Services Administrator — Marjorie Bettencourt, Turlock USD Student Services Administrator — Gil Ogden, Turlock USD Curriculum & Instruction Administrator — Ricardo Chavez, Escalon USD Continuation/Educational Options Administrator — Rachelle Elledge Barkus, Modesto City Schools Professor of Education —Denise Wickham, Ceres USD Retired Administrator — Dave Urquhart, Retired Superintendent Valuing Diversity Award — Kenneth Fitzgerald, Patterson Joint USD Partners in Educational Excellence — Calaveras County Public Health
