R16: Leaders represented at Superintendents’ Symposium
Los Angeles USD was well represented at ACSA’s Superintendents’ Symposium with all five of LAUSD’s local district superintendents in attendance: Jose Huerta, Joseph Nacorda, Cheryl Hildreth, Roberto Martinez and Michael Romero.  Hildreth is ACSA Region 16’s Superintendent of the Year for 2020. Nacorda’s Local District Northwest is partnering with Region 16 to host its 4th annual Women’s Leadership Summit on March 7. Huerta and Martinez will be partnering for upcoming spring social on March 12 at San Antonio Winery. 
R14: Equity conference to be held March 27
ACSA Region 14 will host “Equity Leaders: Engaging the Call to Action” from 8 a.m. to noon on March 27 at The Grand, 4101 E. Willow St. in Long Beach.  The keynote speaker will be Kathryn Edwards, Coordinator III, Equity, Access and Curriculum Support from Los Angeles County Office of Education. Following her keynote, a hands-on workshop will be led by Nicole Anderson, former senior director of diversity and equal access for ACSA.  Cost is $45 for ACSA members. Buffet breakfast included.
