R4: Region honors its administrators of the year
It is with pride and gratitude that ACSA Region 4 honors its Administrators of the Year. Their leadership has paved the way for countless students to reach their full potential, educators to grow and develop, and schools to become beacons of learning and personal growth. Their commitment to excellence serves as an inspiration to us all, reminding us of the transformative power of visionary leadership in the field of education.

R7: Stanislaus Charter recognizes ESS students
hip with the Stanislaus County Office of Education recently held its 19th annual Every Student Succeeding event. Twenty-eight students from 18 districts were honored at the morning breakfast. Students received certificates from ACSA, SCOE and local legislators; a gift basket; and two complimentary books. Congratulations to Aiden Flores-Lerman, 8th grade student at Ustach Middle School in the Sylvan Union SD, for being selected as the county representative for the ACSA Region 7 ESS recognition in April. Aiden received $500 from the ACSA Stanislaus Charter.

R16: Baez receives honor from Cal State LA
LAUSD Chief Academic Officer and past ACSA Region 16 President Frances Baez has been selected as this year’s Distinguished Alumna for Education by California State University, Los Angeles. During an alumni awards gala on April 5, Baez was honored for her notable accomplishments and professional achievements, for service of school communities and the university. Baez has served students for more than 28 years as a teacher, assistant principal, director and local district superintendent. As LAUSD’s chief academic officer, Baez serves more than 460,000 students. She leads UTK-12 grade instruction, instructional technology, CTE/Linked Learning, Community Schools and Beyond the Bell programs.
Baez earned her Ph.D. from Cal State LA in 1998.

During the ACSA Mid-state Conference in March, Region 13 hosted a women’s leadership breakfast. The focus of the conference was on finding joy during challenging times. At the end of the breakfast, attendees “jumped for joy” for this photo.
