R16: Women’s summit focuses on leading change
Region 16 hosted its 11th annual Women in Leadership Summit on March 14 at Fairfax High School. This year’s theme, “Catalysts for Change: Women Leading for Impact,” highlighted the power of women leaders to inspire meaningful transformation in education and beyond.
The summit was chaired by Dr. Sandra Quintanilla, principal of Canoga Park Elementary School, and Dr. Karla Estrada, deputy superintendent. The day brought together leaders from across the region for collaboration, reflection, and empowerment. To celebrate women as visionaries, achievers, and catalysts for change, attendees wore turquoise — a symbol of strength, renewal, and the collective commitment to advancing impactful leadership.
