Website: The Scrub Club
Public health organization NSF International has launched a completely revamped Scrub Club website to engage 3- to 8-year-old kids in learning the importance of hand hygiene and the five steps of washing their hands. It’s a timely reboot given the current COVID-19 pandemic. The website includes a brand-new cast of characters and free digital resources ranging from animated music videos to printable worksheets. NSF’s Scrub Club was created as an educational tool for teachers and parents nearly 15 years ago with the support of the Partnership for Food Safety Education and the American Red Cross. Updates to the website not only modernize the characters, but align with the most current Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance for handwashing. While the Scrub Club relaunch was originally scheduled to coincide with the 2020 back-to-school season, NSF decided to debut the website early to assist parents and teachers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Platform: Thoughtexchange
The urgent need for social distancing in response to the sweeping COVID-19 outbreak has led to the equally urgent need for organizations around the world to meaningfully connect and have conversations that matter with their newly-isolated people. In a bid to help address this for leaders across the globe, ACSA Partner4Purpose Thoughtexchange has opened its platform for free to those who want to address COVID-19 with their remote employees, customers, and communities. Effective immediately, leaders in any organization can go online to gain free access to the platform to ask questions relevant to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Virtual presentation: Project iGuardian
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations Child Exploitation Investigations Unit is now offering virtual presentations for school systems and youth organizations nationwide through the Project iGuardian program. Through online seminars, parents, teachers and students will have the opportunity to learn more about the dangers of online environments, how to stay safe online and how to report abuse and suspicious activity — particularly while kids are using online learning tools during the COVID-19 pandemic.
