We know that graduation ceremonies are critically important to the student experience, but when a virtual format is called for, they can be difficult to achieve. Whether it’s for a kindergarten graduation, a high school diploma, or any other major milestone in between, Edmentum has produced a guide with tips and best practices for holding commencement ceremonies in a virtual learning world, available now at ACSA’s Resource Hub. Webinar: Distance Learning for Students with Disabilities
Making Distance Learning Accessible to Students with Disabilities Part 1 will focus on the role of special education teachers in developing and implementing a distance learning model that is linked to the general education platform but is specifically designed to meet the specific needs of special education students and providers. Specific outcomes will include sharing expectations for distance learning and special education service delivery for special needs students, and sharing resources and tools. Webinar: Co-creating the distance learning experience
A plan is good; a plan executed is better. Once a leadership team has designed elements of the distance learning system, the next step is to create and grow the system. Distance learning systems will need to emerge from existing structures and from smaller elements of distance learning stitched together in the immediate response to the suspension of in-person classes. “A Bias Toward Action: Co-creating the Distance Learning Experience,” will help you to break down silos within existing systems and reduce barriers to allow for the emergence of new and innovative systems.
