As one example, the Educational Services team at San Benito High School District offered a whole week of optional professional development to all educators before the start of the 2020-21 school year.
“Our goal is to provide excellent PD opportunities to ensure our educators begin the year on a positive and productive note,” said Superintendent Shawn Tennenbaum.
Courses like “Bitmoji Classroom Creation” and “Hyperdocs/Hyper Slides” were taught by the district’s very own educators. The courses were shared on a schedule (see right) that included Zoom links and bitmoji avatars of the hosts.
“SBHSD is embracing this time to reinvent, reimagine, and redesign how we engage our students in the learning process,” Tennenbaum said.
