HR Boot Camp
The HR administrator role is more complicated than one might think. Make sense of the myriad tasks and responsibilities involved in this position with ACSA’s “Leading Best Practices in Personnel Administration: HR Boot Camp.”
The three-part workshop will be presented by Sherri Beetz, assistant superintendent of Human Resources at Castro Valley USD, Colleen Slattery, assistant superintendent of Human Resources at the Placer County Office of Education, and Jennifer Looney, who has 25 years of experience in school district personnel.
Attendees will walk away with tools they can use right away, including a detailed calendar of events and procedures related to Human Resources.

Building the Student Schedule
This popular online workshop, which was previously titled “Master Schedule Training,” will be offered in person at three convenient locations in 2025. The full-day workshops will provide you with insight on how to make the best decisions for your school. Attendees will learn a practical, step-by-step method for creating a schedule that provides course selection equity. The interactive session is designed for you to practice scheduling concepts with real data, so you can feel confident building your 2025-26 schedule.

Home and Hospital
For students who need to be hospitalized or stay at home due to a medical need, California requires school districts to offer home and hospital instruction that strives to keep students on track academically while they recover.
With this or any other program, the design and implementation can always be improved. At “Home and Hospital Instruction: Nuts and Bolts for Effective Implementation,” presenter Steven France will share what he’s learned from over 11 years leading a Home and Hospital program. Attendees will also receive France’s home and hospital manual with step-by-step instructions on program implementation, including responsibilities and roles. France said they’ll also get “every single form I have developed, re-created or borrowed from other districts.”

Leveraging AI
In an era where technology shapes the educational landscape, this course equips school administrators with the knowledge and skills to harness the power of artificial intelligence effectively. Over two sessions, participants will explore a variety of AI tools and applications designed to streamline administrative tasks, enhance decision-making and improve student outcomes. This new online workshop will cover using AI to analyze data, enhance communication, personalize learning and streamline operations, while ensuring the responsible use of this technology.
