The PLN has embarked on an eight-month journey to address equity challenges facing California’s schools. Teams from four schools — Clara King Elementary (Cypress School District), Hendrick Ranch Elementary (Moreno Valley USD), Marshall Fundamental Secondary School (Pasadena USD) and Bell High School (Los Angeles USD) — met in September at ACSA’s offices in Ontario, one of eight meetings they will have throughout the year. Members of the PLN, funded by the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence, are identifying an equity problem at their sites and using data and inquiry to make improvements.
