The Novato Unified School District has announced that Lynzie Brodhun has been appointed as the NUSD’s new Director of Human Resources. Following a comprehensive search and interview process, the NUSD Board of Trustees approved her appointment at the Feb. 24, board meeting effective July 1, 2026.
Brodhun has been serving as NUSD’s director of TK–8 Education Services since 2024. Prior to that role, she worked as a teacher in the district at both the middle and high school levels before becoming a site principal in the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District.
Over the past several years, Brodhun has been preparing for a leadership role in human resources. She completed ACSA’s Personnel Academy along with additional professional training to support her transition into this position.
Brodhun was selected for her strong leadership and deep commitment to the Novato community.
Brodhun holds a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from San Francisco State University, a Single Subject Teaching Credential from Dominican University of California, and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication with a minor in History and Political Science from Vanguard University of Southern California.
