Tracy Chambers has been chosen as the new Assistant Superintendent of Education Support Services for the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools. Her scheduled start date is May 19, 2023.
Chambers was the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services for Hemet Unified School District, a position she held since 2017. Before this, from 2007-2017, Chambers served in numerous leadership roles, including assistant principal, principal and director of Professional Development. Prior to joining Hemet Unified School District, she was an elementary school teacher and site-based instructional coach in Palm Springs Unified School District.
Chambers graduated from Chapman University with a master’s degree in Educational Administration and received her teaching credential from California State University, San Bernardino. She is a proud ACSA member.
Lisa Garcia has been chosen as the new Assistant to the Superintendent for the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools. Garcia will replace Corina Paramo who will be retiring this July.
Since 2017, Garcia has worked for SBCSS as a principal at several county school sites including for early start, special education and most recently in alternative education, where she oversaw multiple community day school sites in the East Valley region.
She began her career in education in 2003 as a preschool teacher for the Rialto Unified School District.
Garcia graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a master’s in educational administration. She also graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Science in early childhood education. She received her educational specialist credential from California State University, San Bernardino.
Julienne Lee, an award-winning educator with extensive experience as a teacher, coach and administrator, will serve as Buena Park School District’s next superintendent, pending final Board of Education approval on June 12.
Lee currently serves as Associate Superintendent of Educational Services at Fullerton School District, where she oversees educational programs that include a nationally ranked speech and debate team, a Golden Bell award-winning intervention program and dual-language immersion programs in Spanish and Korean.
In her 26-year career, Lee has worked as a dual-language immersion teacher, a Response to Intervention coach, a middle school English teacher, an assistant principal and principal.
Most recently, she was named ACSA’s Region 17 Administrator of the Year for curriculum and instruction for implementing educational programs that enhance student learning. In 2020, Lee was recognized with the Woman of Distinction award from the 29th Senate District for her contributions to public education.
Lee holds a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and administrative sciences from the University of California, Riverside, a master’s degree in multicultural education from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and a doctorate in organizational change and leadership from the University of Southern California.
Interim Superintendent Yvette Cantu will continue to serve in her current role until Lee begins her tenure in July, once contract negotiations are finalized.
