Angela Parsons has joined ACSA as its new Chief Financial Officer. Parsons brings strong experience in financial leadership within mission-driven organizations. Most recently serving as CFO of a $50 million organization, she helped scale revenue, strengthen financial systems, and support long-term sustainability and growth.
Known for building high-performing teams and bringing a thoughtful, collaborative approach to leadership, her thoughtful, strategic approach and commitment to operational excellence will be instrumental as ACSA continues to strengthen its financial foundation and support of its mission.
The Azusa Unified School District Board of Education has announced the appointment of Dr. Guillermo Lopez as its new superintendent, pending formal approval by the board.
Born in Oxnard, Calif., to Mexican immigrant parents, Lopez understands firsthand the transformative power of public education. He entered the public school system as an English language learner and navigated it with the support of teachers, counselors, and administrators who believed in his potential. Those experiences continue to shape his belief that schools are places of possibility, and that every student, regardless of background, deserves access to a high-quality education and the support needed to thrive.
Lopez’s career in education began as a classified staff member, and he has served in a variety of roles, including classroom teacher at the high school and community college level, school counselor, dean of students, assistant principal, principal, and district administrator. He currently serves as Associate Superintendent of Educational Services in Palo Alto USD.
