CALSA Summer Institute returns with ‘Esperanza’

The California Association of Latino Superintendents and Administrators held its annual Summer Institute July 7-9 in Santa Clara. It was the first in-person CALSA Summer Institute since the start of the pandemic.
The theme was “Esperanza: Honoring our past. Embracing our future.” Among the sessions was a “Reckoning with Race” panel with Mt. Diablo USD Superintendent Adam Clark, Golden Plains USD Superintendent Martín Macías, CALSA President/Greenfield USD Superintendent Zandra Jo Galvan, ACSA President/Assistant Superintendent of Student Support Services Long Beach USD Erin Simon, and CAAPLE President/Principal from Conejo Valley USD Issac Huang.
